The Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm.....

I think the photos explain it all. Kami was in heaven....all those flowers to smell, taste, and pick. Even if picking was a BIG no-no! Oops! Kori had a hard time, I think she may be suffering from allergies...not a good place to figure that out. Oops again! Kayla was soon bored with only seeing flower after flower, after flower and was disappointed that there were no blue tulips to be found....yes oops again, again. Kade found in fun to hide among the tulips, but soon sat on some, so that gave us another oops again, again, again, again? Now I have lost count! Over all it was a fun after school trip, hot, but fun. I hope we can do it again.....next year.

Happy Earth Day!

A tiskit a tasket...check out my baskets....

I decided to make the kids new Easter Baskets this year. I know, I know this post should have been weeks ago, but I must remind you I was in a allergy/drug induced coma and unable to do anything other then trudge thur the most minimal events of everyday life! But, the night before Easter, I whipped put my glue gun and went to work!
So, with the help of a lot of caffeine, my glue gun, some ribbon and a few scrap-book letters, new Easter Baskets emerged!
Each with their own little look....
And personalized, so there was no confusion in the morning....
I added in some Easter flair.....

here and there....

I really liked how they turned out.... I think next time we will make some for craft supplies.

Easter...and it was on the 12th!

So, you know what that means...12 on 12! Easter was not that eventful at our house this year, I was still recovering from my allergic reaction and the comatose effect the meds had on me. But we made it to church all dressed in our Sunday best and my parent's took the older two up to my aunt and uncle's.

1. Kori loved being the Easter Bunny!
2. The kid's Easter baskets all lined in a row.
3. What's Easter with out the jelly beans....and the sugar rush!
4. Kami helping Kori get her ears straight.
5. Our yummy Honey Bunny from Great Harvest, made of scrumptious honey wheat bread.
6. Ok, what can I say, the ears were a big hit in our house!
7. Ah, the dreaded group pic, I do try, but getting all four to look in the same direction and smile happily, it never happens.
8. Kami, in my shoes, of course!
9. Kayla
10. Kori
11. Some of the eggs the kids decorated.
12. One of my favorite parts of Easter, new outfits, all the way down to the shoes....I even got new shoes this year! :)

Book Ban....

Ok, so most definitely do not ban these..but a warning would be nice! Once you crack the spine on these books, you will be sucked in, laundry will pile-up, dishes will not be done, dinners will become frozen pizza, pot pies and chicken nuggets. You will become in thralled with the story and it's characters until you have devoured every last word. That now being said, I have tons of laundry to do, dishes, and meal to be planned!
